Welcome

Hi, my name is Lisa DeLuca. 
I am a 51 y.o. wife of 25+years to the same man and mother to 3 great people and grandma to 1 (so far) beautiful baby boy. I had a hemiplegic stroke 3 months ago, the day after Valentines Day. The vision center of my brain was damaged resulting in heminopsia ( http://www.hemianopiasociety.com/what-is-hemianopia ).
 What that means is I can only see on the left side of both eyes, I'm blind on the right. That's the reason for the big font on my blog. I'm not very good at this blogging thing (I've tried once before) but I figured, heck, I might as well give it another shot since I can't drive and I'm stuck here at home a lot.
Also, this is a great way to keep track of my successes and failings in my journey towards either total vision recovery, or learning how to deal with being half blind.
